Our team of experienced geoscientists are practical, hands-on problem solvers and are committed to getting the best possible outcome for each and every one of our clients.
In 2004 David founded Marine & Earth Sciences, an engineering focused geophysical consulting company servicing the geotechnical sector in both onshore and offshore environments. Through his guidance, Marine & Earth Sciences has developed into a leading provider of engineering geophysical services with over 250 successful projects completed to date.
David has worked extensively in Australia and the Asia Pacific region on many significant civil and commercial infrastructure projects for the past 19 years. In this time, he has applied innovative geophysical techniques and approaches to deliver cost effective and reliable geotechnical models to help clients understand the earth and reduce project risks.
He is experienced in the planning, application and interpretation of a wide range of geophysical techniques as well as playing a key role in the development and introduction of new and innovative investigation techniques.
Mark joined Marine & Earth Sciences in 2018 bringing with him over 15 years’ experience in the offshore survey industry, mineral exploration sector and in near surface engineering geophysics. He worked with Fugro for 10 years where he specialised in marine geophysical surveys and gained extensive offshore experience. Mark is a competent project leader and has a keen interest in the development of geophysical hardware and processing methods.
Mark has worked extensively in Australia and throughout many other regions of the globe. He has worked on many of the liquified natural gas developments on the North-West Shelf of Western Australia, including Woodside Browse, Chevron Wheatstone and Gorgon and ExxonMobil Scarborough. He has experience working with multidisciplinary teams on projects such as the search for Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 and large-scale North Sea windfarm projects. Mark is also adept working on small-scale surveys in remote locations and has completed projects in Africa, India, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining Marine & Earth Sciences Mark worked as a geophysicist for Fugro and Coffey Geotechnics and studied the geophysics of mineral systems through James Cook University and the Predictive Mineral Discovery Cooperative Research Centre (pmd*CRC).
